Kathy’s passion for travel started at a very young age. Growing up in Las Vegas, her parents took her to Disneyland for the first time in 1964, when she was just 2 years old. This began a lifelong love of all things Disney. When her family moved to the East Coast in 1974, their trip included a detour to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. It was this car trip, and the 2 years that they lived near Washington DC, that fueled Kathy’s desire to experience destinations and cultures all over the world. She’s now been to nearly every state in the US, as well as international destinations like Japan, South Africa, Tahiti, Germany, Turkey, and Spain. She even had the opportunity to live and work in Vienna, Austria.

Kathy is a graduate of the Disney College of Knowledge. She has also completed specialist courses with all the major cruise lines including Royal Caribbean, Disney, Celebrity, Azamara, and Viking River Cruises. In addition, she has become a specialist in destinations like Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean, as well as Universal Parks & Resorts and Sea World.

While she specializes in domestic family travel, she has a passion for European destinations – specifically Germany, Austria, and river cruises throughout Europe. Creating custom itineraries to European cities – small and large – is something she truly loves.

Kathy is active in the runDisney community, participating in 2-3 events each year at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. In 2013 she completed her first full marathon, running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC. She is also a diver, with Advanced certification. Her favorite location to dive is Roatan, Honduras, but hopes to explore some new destinations this year.

When not busy planning her clients dream vacations, or learning about new destinations and products, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family – especially her 3-year old grandson. She introduced this newest generation to the Disney parks in 2014, and he became her favorite travel “research” buddy. Seeing the parks through his eyes gave her a fresh perspective.
